Yankees vs. Orioles Prediction
The New York Yankees have won two in a row and are in the thick of the AL East race, while the Baltimore Orioles are in freefall mode having dropped five games in a row. Following a rainout last night, can New York take care of business as the favorite tonight as it opens series in Baltimore?

Yankees take series from Astros
After dropping the series opener at home against Houston, New York responded by winning the next two games to take two out of three. The Yankees wrapped it up with a 5-3 win Wednesday night. Luis Severino was dominant as he struck out 11 over seven innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits while walking one. Aaron Judge was 2-for-4 with a run to help pace the offense. Gary Sanchez finished 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Austin Romine went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored.
Orioles swept at home by Nationals
Baltimore was held to only two hits Wednesday afternoon by Washington ace Max Scherzer in what ended as a 2-0 loss, extending the O’s losing skid to five games. Manny Machado doubled in four at-bats to lead the offense. Craig Gentry, Adam Jones and Chris Davis each had a single. David Hess was the tough-luck losing pitcher as he gave up only one earned run on four hits over six innings, striking out two and walking one.
Sonny Gray (3-4, 5.98 ERA) will start today for New York, while Baltimore will go with Andrew Cashner (2-6, 5.07).
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are 10-4 in their last four road games. The over is 7-3-1 in the last 11 New York games overall.
Baltimore
The Orioles are 21-58 in their last 79 games overall. The over is 23-3 in the last 26 meetings.
Prediction:
With the over being so dominant in this series the last couple years and two struggling pitchers on the mound, I have no issues betting on this being a high-scoring game. It will give you a better return with a win without throwing down a big sum of money than betting on the Yankees to win on the moneyline. Trust there to be runs to scored here. Imagine how Gray will look to the Orioles one game after facing Scherzer.
