Rangers make it two straight
The Rangers have shocked the Mariners the last two nights, picking up 9-5 and 7-6 victories in Seattle. Texas is now 24-34 overall with an 13-15 record on the road. The Rangers are putting up 4.31 runs per game this season while allowing 5.31 per contest.
Mike Minor gets the start for the Rangers tonight. He is making his 11th start of the season and he has a 4-3 record with a 5.63 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. Minor has recorded 50 strikeouts with 12 walks over 54.1 innings of work.
Seattle stumbles again
The Mariners were one of the hottest teams in baseball, but have allowed 16 runs over the last two games with the Rangers. Seattle is now 33-22 overall with a 16-12 record at home. The Mariners are scoring 4.36 runs per game this season while allowing 4.22 per contest.
Wade LeBlanc makes his sixth start for the Mariners on Thursday night. He has yet to record a decision through 10 appearances this year and has a 2.70 ERA with a 1.10 WHIP. LeBlanc has pitched 40.0 innings and has 31 strikeouts with seven walks.
MLB Betting Trends
Texas
The Rangers are 4-1 in their last five games against a team with a winning record but just 7-18 in their last 25 games following a win.
Seattle
The Mariners have won 10 of their last 12 games following a loss and seven of their last nine at home. They also have won LeBlanc’s last nine home starts.
Prediction:
Seattle has slipped up the last two nights, but losing streaks haven’t been a thing for the Mariners for the most part over the last handful of weeks. I feel that they should snap out of it tonight as Minor has struggled to keep runs off the scoreboard. LeBlanc has looked good in his starting role and he could give Seattle the start they need to slow down Texas.
The Pick: Seattle Mariners -155
