The Yankees opened up this series with a 10-7 win at Baltimore. New York has now won six of its last seven games. New York is 29-17 on the season, 12-7 on the road and 24-21 with the over. Domingo German gets the start tonight for the Yankees. He is 8-1 on the season with a 2.50 ERA.
The Yankees scored four runs in the ninth inning on Monday to get the win in a game that they trailed 6-1. Gary Sanchez hit his 13th home run of the season, a three-run shot in the ninth. Gleyber Torres hit a pair of home runs in the win as well. J.A. Happ struggled, giving up six runs over 3.2 innings. However, his bullpen pitched 5.1 innings, allowing just one run.
Orioles lose third straight
Baltimore has lost three straight and six of their last seven following Monday’s loss to the Yankees. The Orioles are 15-32 on the season, 6-16 at home and 23-22 with the under. Baltimore has David Hess taking the mound tonight. He is 1-5 on the season with a 5.58 ERA.
The Orioles left 12 on base in Monday’s loss. They had 13 hits as a team in the game. Hanser Alberto had four hits, scored three runs and drove in two. Dwight Smith Jr. had three hits while Trey Mancini drove in two runs. Andrew Cashner pitched six innings and allowed just three runs, but his pen blew up. Mychal Givens gave up five runs over 1.1 innings to blow his second save of the year.
MLB Betting Trends
New York
The Yankees are 21-7 over their last 28 games and 9-4 in their last 13 road games.
Baltimore
The Orioles are just 24-57 in their last 81 home games and 19-47 in their last 66 games on grass.
Prediction:
German has been outstanding on the mound this year. He has been able to be very consistent in terms of his length on the mound and allowing limited damage. Hess has struggled, with Baltimore losing six of their last seven games. He has allowed at least three runs in his last seven starts. I just don’t see him being able to compete with German and the Yankee hitters today.
MLB Prediction: New York Yankees -220
