Diamondbacks’ Godley takes loss in quality start vs. Dodgers
Zack Godley allowed an earned run, five hits and three walks with five strikeouts over six innings in a loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday. Godley threw 56 of his 100 pitches for strikes in the quality start, but the Dodgers had six pitches combine to allow just one run and six hits. While he has won the past couple of starts, he was much more effective in this one. It was his first quality start since April 9, he just didn’t receive any run support. He’ll try to carry over the momentum into his next scheduled outing Tuesday in a rematch with L.A.
Dodgers activate Hill from disabled list for start on Tuesday
Dodgers activated LHP Rich Hill from the 10-day disabled list. Hill was originally expected to make his return Sunday against the Padres in Monterrey, but the Dodgers decided to play things safe and push him back to Tuesday against the Diamondbacks back in Los Angeles. The veteran southpaw had a 6.00 ERA through his first three starts prior to landing on the DL in mid-April with a cracked finger nail on his left hand. His return was delayed due to an infection in the finger, but he’s feeling better now and fantasy owners should expect better results moving forward.
