Chicago Cubs DFS SPIN
Ryan Tepera’s suspension for throwing at Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff has been reduced from three games to two, which he will begin serving on Sunday. The reduction is a bit of a surprise considering Tepera openly admitted to throwing at Woodruff intentionally. Either way, the right-hander will begin serving his two-game suspension immediately.
Atlanta Braves DFS SPIN
Freddie Freeman went 1-for-3 with a single in the Braves’ shutout loss to the Diamondbacks in the first game of Sunday’s seven-inning doubleheader. Freeman supplied the lone hit for the Braves in the opening game of Sunday’s twin-billing, breaking up Zac Gallen’s no-hit bit with a one-out single in the sixth inning. The 31-year-old first baseman has gotten off to an extremely slow start at the plate, slashing .214/.368/.457 with 10 runs scored, five homers, 10 RBI and one stolen base across 87 plate appearances.
Cubs vs. Braves Betting Prediction
The Cubs are just 3-7 in their last 10 games against the Braves and have dropped four out of their last five games in Atlanta. The Cubs are also just 1-4 in their last five road games, are 1-5 in their last six on the road when facing an opponent with a losing record and are 4-12 in their last 16 games versus a right-handed starter. The Braves, meanwhile, are 4-1 in their last five games versus the National League Central, are 5-2 in their last seven games overall and have cashed in 57 of their last 83 games as a home favorite.
