PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
The public is backing the Blue Jays today. Toronto is getting 55 percent of the wagers for this game as the favorite on the road against the Rangers.
KEY INJURIES
Toronto has a few players on the injury report for today’s game. Aledmys Diaz is questionable to play despite dealing with a back injury. Troy Tulowitzki is already out until May with a heel injury. Texas has nobody new listed on the injury report.
BETTING STRATEGIES
Toronto picked up an 8-5 win over Texas on Friday to open this series. The Rangers fell behind early, giving up three runs in the third and fourth innings to the Jays. Matt Moore struggled on the mound for Texas, allowing six runs over 3.1 innings in five hits and four walks. Marco Estrada pitched well for Toronto, allow just one run over six innings. However, the Toronto pen nearly blew it, giving up four runs over three innings.
Russell Martin led Toronto with three hits and three RBI. Yangervis Solarte joined Martin in hitting a home run in the game as well. Texas was led at the plate by Shin-Soo Choo, who had his third home run of the young season. Adrian Beltre added three hits and a RBI.
The Jays jumped on Texas early and I could see something similar today against Minor. Stroman didn’t have a great start against the Yankees to open the season, but he’s shown ability to have great outings in the past. I think Toronto will be the better team today as their balance of pitching and hitting seems to be a little strong than Texas.
