According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Brewers are -110 money line favorites to beat the Cardinals, who have +105 money line odds to pull off the upset tonight. The total sits at 9.5 runs.
The Brewers opened as -140 money line favorites but their odds dropped to -110, while the Cardinals’ line went from +120 all the way down to +105 at the majority of online sportsbooks. The total, meanwhile, has climbed to 9.5 after hitting the board at 9.
PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of this writing, 70% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Brewers to beat the Cardinals on the money line. Meanwhile, 53% of the betting tickets are on the over.
After dropping their first two games of the season, the Cardinals have won two in a row and are starting to heat up at the plate. Shortstop Paul DeJong has three home runs in two games, Marcell Ozuna contributed with a key hit on Monday afternoon and Dexter Fowler also picked up his first hit of the year as well. They’ll send Jack Flaherty to the mound tonight after the youngster struggled last season. He had a great spring training and has excellent control, which is one of the reasons why the Cards felt comfortable with him replacing Adam Wainwright (hamstring) in the starting rotation. I expect the Cards’ bats to stay hot and Flaherty to pitch well in another upset win at Miller Park.
