Silva (33-6) is arguably the most decorated fighter in UFC history. He was the middleweight champion from Oct. 14, 2006 to July 6, 2013. He is returning to action after over a year away following a gruesome leg injury in his last fight. Diaz (26-9) is a hard-nosed boxer that isn’t afraid to mix it up with anyone. He is moving up in weight to take this fight and earn a big payday.
The latest odds according to oddsmakers at BetDSI have Silva as the clear favorite, as he is getting odds of -500 to prevail. Diaz is currently getting a money line of +350 to win. These two will meet in the main event of UFC 183 tonight from Las Vegas. The main card airs on PPV at 10PM ET.
Diaz is unlike any other fighter. He moves forward and he isn’t shy about it. However, that’s not good against a fighter like Silva, who likes to use his speed to counter his opponent with devastating punches and kicks. Diaz may land a few jabs, but he doesn’t have 1-punch KO power like Silva does. Eventually, Diaz is probably going to eat a few too many counters and get put to sleep.
