Dos Santos never was in danger as he controlled the fight on the feet from the start.
According to oddsmakers, the champion had odds of -535 to win his title fight on Saturday, which means a wager of $535 on Dos Santos to win will pay out an additional $100.
In the co-main event, Cain Velasquez defeated Antonio Silva by first round TKO in a bloody, but short contest. The former champion, Velasquez, landed an elbow across the nose of Silva and that busted the former Strikeforce fighter wide open. From there, Velasquez followed up with more strikes and overwhelmed Silva. The fight was stopped in the fourth minute of action. According to oddsmakers, Velasquez had a money line of -400 to win. This means a wager of $400 on him to win will pay out an additional $100.
