U.S. Open Women’s Odds
The final grand slam tennis tournament of the year takes place next week. Here is a look at the odds to win the women’s singles title at the U.S. Open.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Serena Williams is the clear favorite to win, as she has +120 odds. Other short odds to win are Garbine Muguruza (+650), Angelique Kerber (+1000) and Simona Halep (+1000). The U.S. Open takes place Aug. 29-Sept. 13 from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, N.Y.
Serena Williams is coming off an early upset at The Olympics, but she still has reached the finals of all three grand slam events this year, including a Wimbledon win. She has 22 grand slam wins in her career, including six U.S. Open titles.
Muguruza won her first grand slam event this year, the French Open. She has only reached the final in one other of 13 events. She hasn’t made it past the second round of this tournament.
Kerber took silver at the Olympics and she has reached the finals in two grand slam events this year, winning the Australian Open while finishing second at Wimbledon. She has only reached the semifinals one time in eight tries at the U.S. Open.
Halep has yet to win a grand slam event in her career. She reached the semifinals in the U.S. Open last year, but hasn’t made it past the quarterfinals in the three events of 2016.
