Iowa Corn 300 Picks

The IndyCar Series holds the Iowa Corn 300 later today. Here are some drivers we like to contend for the victory.

The Iowa Corn 300 is a 262.5-mile race that is held at Iowa Speedway. The race takes place today at 5PM ET and will air on NBCSN. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Scott Dixon is the favorite this weekend, as he has +250 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Josef Newgarden (+425), Helio Castroneves (+550) and Will Power (+550).

Bet on the Iowa Corn 300

Josef Newgarden is the defending champion of this race and I think he can find a way to repeat today. Newgarden has been driving well lately, placing in the top-5 in three of his last four races. He has one win this year already and a pair of runner-up finishes. Coming to a track where he’s had success should give him a boost for today.

Will Power has some good momentum heading into this race as well. He has finished in the top-5 in three straight races, including a win in Texas. Power has two wins on the year and he is coming to an Iowa track where he finished second a year ago. I think Power should have another strong run today and could come away with the victory.

Ryan Hunter-Reay has +1500 odds for this race, but this track has been his. He is a three-time winner of this race, including the back-to-back champion in 2014 and 2015. The reason or the long odds is he has struggled all year and struggled last year too. Still, he is coming to his best track. He knows this is a rare chance for a win for him, so he should push hard for it today.
