The Formula 1 Series wraps up its 2017 season early on Sunday with the running of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Here are the drivers we like to contend for the victory.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix takes place Sunday at 8AM ET from Yas Marina Circuit. The race is a 190-mile contest that will run 55 laps around the track. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Lewis Hamilton is the favorite this weekend. He is getting -125 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Sebastian Vettel (+200) and Valtteri Bottas (+550).
Bet on the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton is already your 2017 F1 champion, but he still wants to close out his season in style. Hamilton has nine wins this year and is a three-time champion in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. While Hamilton has been coasting to the finish line, he still is the top driver week-in and week-out. It’s hard to pass him up in this finale.
Sebastian Vettel has something to drive for as he wants to lock up second place in the F1 standings, which would be his best finish since 2013. Vettel is coming off a win in the last race, his fifth of the season. He also is a three-time winner of this race and finished third a year ago. Vettel should be comfortable pushing the pace on Sunday, especially with Hamilton having nothing to really compete for.
Valtteri Bottas is looking to catch Vettel for second in the standings, but he needs a win on Sunday to do it. It’s not out of the question, as he has won two races this year while finishing second in six others. This has been Bottas’ best year in the F1 series, as his partnership with Mercedes has paid off. One last great run would go a long way toward a momentum boost for the 2018 season.
