(The Spread) – Oddsmakers have released odds to win the Knockout Phase of Euro 2012 and the favorite is not the team that was favored at the start of the tournament.
After listing Spain as the favorite coming into Euro 2012, Germany is now the new favorite to win this year’s UEFA tournament. Germany is 11/5 to win, while Spain is 12/5 and Italy and Portugal are 7/1, respectively. England is 15/2, France is 11/1 and Czech Republic is 40/1. Greece is the new long shot at 50/1.
This week’s schedule lines up like this, there are no matches on Wednesday but on Thursday Czech Republic will take on Portugal. On Friday Germany will battle Greece and on Saturday Spain will take on France. On Saturday, England will play Italy and then on June 27 and June 28 in Donetsk will be the semi-finals matches.

If you’re wondering where the Quarter-Finals matches will be played, here’s the list. Czech Republic will play Portugal at National Stadium in Warsaw while Germany will play Greece at PGE Arena in Gdansk. Spain will play France at Donbass Arena in Donetsk and England will take on Italy at Olympic Stadium in Kiev.
Mario Mandzukic of Germany is just one player to keep your eye on in the Knockout Phase, as he leads all scorers still in play with three goals. Joe Hart of England has 13 saves, Bastian Schweinsteiger of Germany and Andrea Pirlo of Italy each have two assists apiece and Georgios Samaras has nine fouls for Greece.
