Will American Pharoah finish in Top 3?
ELMONT, NY (The Spread) – With the Belmont Stakes set to race shortly after 6:50PM ET this evening, here’s a look at the odds American Pharoah will finish in the top 3.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, American Pharoah has 2/9 odds to finish in the top 3 and 13/4 to finish outside of one of the money spots. He’s also 10/13 to win the Belmont Stakes and thus, capture horse racing’s first Triple Crown since 1978.
Mubtaahij, meanwhile, is 5/2 to finish in the money and 4/13 not to place in the top 3. Tale of Verve is also 3/1 to finish in the top 3 and 1/4 to place outside of the money, while Madefromlucky is 9/4 to finish in one of the money spots and 20/57 to wind up outside of the top 3.
Frosted, who is viewed by oddsmakers as American Pharoah’s top challenger, is 2/3 to place in the top 3 at today’s Belmont and 6/5 to finish outside of the money.
