Indianapolis Colts DFS Spin

Colts HC Shane Steichen said Anthony Richardson (knee/ankle) could have returned in Week 1’s loss to the Jaguars. This lines up with Tom Pelissero’s post-game report, when he said Richardson “will be fine” after the Colts’ 31-21 loss. Richardson exited late in the fourth quarter, but was sidelined more out of precaution with the game already in the final minute. We’ll see how he’s listed on the team’s practice report, but if he’s able to go in Week 2 against the Texans, Richardson will have plenty of QB1 upside.

Houston Texans DFS Spin

KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports Texans QB C.J. Stroud (questionable, shoulder) is expected to play vs the Colts. Stroud was limited in Saturday’s practice after being added to the injury report Friday. The hamstring isn’t expected to keep Stroud out for Sunday’s matchup with the Colts, where he’ll take on rookie QB Anthony Richardson, but there might not be official word until game-time. Houston would turn to Davis Mills were Stroud to sit.

Colts vs. Texans Prediction:

Give me Houston. The Texans defense has multiple takeaways in seven straight games dating back to last season, which is the longest streak in franchise history and the longest active streak in the NFL. Their front seven is athletic and aggressive under new head coach DeMecco Ryans, and I expect them to give Richardson issues throughout the game. The Colts can’t run the ball, which puts too much pressure on Richardson and WR Michael Pittman to consistently make plays in the passing game. If Houston can fire up its rushing attack, then I see the Texans eventually taking control of this game and winning a squeaker.
