New York Islanders DFS SPIN
Mathew Barzal (lower body) is expected to play in the Islanders’ playoff opener Monday versus Carolina, Denis Gorman of NHL.com reports. Barzal declared himself good to go following Friday’s practice. He finished second on the Islanders with 51 points and 37 assists despite missing the final 23 games of the regular season. Barzal is projected to play on the top line and first power-play unit.
Carolina Hurricanes DFS SPIN
Brent Burns scored two goals in Thursday’s 6-4 win over the Panthers. The 38-year-old defenseman heads into the postseason with plenty of momentum, scoring four goals in the last three games. Burns finishes his first regular season in Carolina with 18 goals and 61 points through 82 games, his best scoring performance since he racked up 83 points for San Jose in 2018-19.
