Oklahoma State Cowboys Game Notes
SpencerSanders (undisclosed) was 9-for-13 passing for 84 yards and one touchdown during Saturday’s 20-14 victory against Iowa State. Sanders entered the game in the second half after Gunnar Gundy threw a pair of interceptions in his first start. Although hobbled by multiple injuries, Sanders was able to record the go-ahead touchdown pass and help the Cowboys win their seventh game of the year. It appears possible that Sanders could make a return to the line-up at Oklahoma next week.
Oklahoma Sooners Game Notes
Eric Gray had 25 rushes for 211 yards and two touchdowns and caught 4 of 5 targets for 12 yards during Saturday’s 23-20 loss against West Virginia. Gray was able to post his second 200-yard rushing game of his career, the first coming in 2019 when he had 246 yards and three touchdowns against Vanderbilt when he was with Tennessee. Although the Sooners are struggling of late, Gray is putting a bow on the end of his collegiate career with four straight 100-yard rushing performances and seven touchdowns over that span. With the big performance against the Mountaineers, he was able to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing in a single season for the first time. Look for Gray to keep chugging along against Oklahoma State next week.
