Santiago Espinal reached on an infield single with one out and on an error went to second base, where he represented the tying run. Bautista put a stop to things right there, getting a strikeout and then a soft lineout by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to seal the victory. “The Mountain” has emerged as Baltimore’s clear closer following the trade of Jorge Lopez.
Boston Red Sox DFS SPIN
Tommy Pham hit a three-run homer Wednesday in the loss to the Braves. Pham’s homer brought the Red Sox to within 5-4 in the seventh, but the Braves built on to their lead from there. It was Pham’s third homer in eight games for his new team.
