C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 28 points during Saturday’s win vs. the Suns, hitting 10-of-19 shots including a 6-of-11 mark from downtown. McCollum filled out his line with three blocks, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes of action. The blocks are a bonus, one shy of his career high — the rest is just what CJ does as an offensive powerhouse. He’s replicating his red-hot start to last season, and if he stays healthy he should cruise past his Average Draft Position (49.1 on Yahoo).
Los Angeles Clippers DFS Notes
Paul George erupted for 41 points in a losing effort vs. Memphis on Saturday, sinking 15-of-25 shots with 10 rebounds, five triples, four assists and two steals. George recently lamented the Clippers’ lack of beneficial foul calls, saying, “It’s just crazy … I’m getting hit in the face, smacked in the face … I shot a three, I get smacked on the elbow. That is just crazy to me, but it’s nothing new.” He got some calls tonight and finished 6-of-6 at the line, helping him finish with sparkling 74.2% True Shooting on huge volume. He’s playing with incredible ease right now, but this monster game wasn’t enough to avoid an 0-2 start to the season. The visiting Blazers are up next on Monday.
