Bears vs. Browns NFL Prediction

Justin Fields will make his NFL starting debut on Sunday when the Bears visit the Browns at 1:00 p.m. ET. Is Chicago a decent play as a 7.5-point underdog or is Cleveland the better bet to cover this afternoon?

Game Snapshot

483 Chicago Bears (+7.5) at 484 Cleveland Browns (-7.5); o/u 44.5

Chicago Bears DFS Spin

Justin Fields will start against the Browns in Week 3. Andy Dalton is described as week-to-week with a left knee injury. The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs reports that Nagy plans to return to Dalton as the starter when healthy (because of course he does). For as long as Dalton is out however, and perhaps for the rest of the season if he plays well enough, Fields is an exciting upside play. While he wasn’t ultra-impressive filling in for Dalton in Week 2, Fields’ rushing ability, accuracy and big arm give him a high fantasy ceiling on a weekly basis. He can be viewed as a low-end QB1 against the Browns this week.

Cleveland Browns DFS Spin

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Odell Beckham (knee) will play in Week 3 against the Bears. Stefanski said Beckham took every practice rep this week with no limitations. That’s good news, though a full complement of snaps and routes in OBJ’s first game back from a devastating ACL injury doesn’t seem likely. Jarvis Landry (knee) being on injured reserve will open up targets for Beckham and the rest of the Cleveland receivers.

NFL Week 3 Betting Prediction

The Bears are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games as a road underdog, are 2-6 against the number in their last eight games as an underdog either home or away and are 0-6 at the betting window in their last six games after allowing less than 250 total yards in their previous contest. The Browns, meanwhile, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games following an ATS loss and are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.

NFL WEEK 3 PREDICTION: CLEVELAND BROWNS -7.5
