Sparks Energy 300 Predictions
The NASCAR Xfinity Series get the weekend racing schedule going on Saturday with the Sparks Energy 300. Here’s three drivers we like to contend for the win.
According to the latest oddsmakers at YouWager, Elliott Sadler is the favorite in this race, as he is getting 4/1 odds to win. Other short odds to prevail are Justin Allgaier (5/1), Christopher Bell (7/1) and John Hunter Nemechek (7/1). The Sparks Energy 300 takes place Saturday at 3PM ET from Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama and will air live on FOX.
Elliott Sadler 4/1
Sadler has won this race two times in his career, including the 2016 race. He was also second a year ago. This season, Sadler is winless in the Xfinity Series, but he has finished in the top 10 in all eight races. That includes seven top-5 finishes. I think Sadler will once again be near the front and contend for the win.
Justin Allgaier 5/1
Justin Allgaier has performed pretty well in this race. He finished second in 2016 and fifth in 2013. This year, Allgaier has three-runner up finishes. I think today could be the day he breaks through for his first win of the year. It’s a big, open track and Allgaier does better at the faster courses.
Cole Custer 10/1
Cole Custer is seeking his first win in the series, but he has done a great job of driving near the front of the pack. Over his last six races, he has finished in the top 10 in all of them. That also includes a top-5 finish. When you constantly find yourself driving near the front, eventually that will lead to a win. That could come tonight if he avoids the big wreck.
