CURRENT ODDS
According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Rockies are -146 money line favorites to beat the Braves, who have odds of +132 to pull off the upset in Colorado. As for the total, the number sits at 10 runs, with the over carrying odds of +100 and the under listed at -120.
LINE MOVEMENT
The Rockies opened as -140 money line favorites but their odds have climbed to -146, while the Braves’ odds have shifted from +120 up to +132. The total has also moved off its original number, dropping from 11 down to 10 at the majority of online sportsbooks.
PUBLIC BETTING INFORMATION
As of this writing, 68% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Rockies to beat the Braves on the moneyline. Meanwhile, 55% of the betting tickets are on the under.
OUR PREDICTION:
I love the under in this spot. For starters, the majority of the money wagered on the total is on the under, which could help explain why the total dropped a full run at the betting window. The other reason to love the under? The wind is blowing in, the temperatures in Denver are under 40 degrees, and there’s a chance for light snow. All of this is fine for a Broncos-Falcons game in November but we’re talking Rockies-Braves in early April. The under is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings between these two teams.
FRIDAY MLB PREDICTION: BRAVES/ROCKIES UNDER 10
