The Cal Golden Bears will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season when they visit a stumbling UCLA Bruins team tonight at 9:00PM ET.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Bruins are 4-point home favorites over the Golden Bears after opening as 4-point favorites. The total, meanwhile, sits at 69.5 points, up from 65.5.

Cal enters play with an impressive 5-1 record and is 4-2 against the spread, while UCLA is 4-2 overall but just 2-3-1 at the betting window. The Bruins have lost back-to-back games to Arizona State and Stanford, respectively, and failed to cover in each of those contests.

Amazingly, Cal hasn’t been bowl eligible since 2011 and that can be accomplished tonight with a win. But that’s just a matter of time. The Golden Bears haven’t played since a 30-24 loss at Utah on Oct. 10. Jared Goff threw for five interceptions and they still lost by just six points.

Goff does have 17 TDs and 1,970 passing yards. He faces a depleted UCLA defense that was destroyed last Thursday, giving up 56 points at Stanford. UCLA will try to run the ball to take pressure of talented but inconsistent Josh Rosen. His starting left tackle Conor McDermott is not expected to play tonight.
