According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Reds are a slight favorite in the contest, as they have odds of -115 to win, while the Mets have a money line of +106 to prevail. The over/under total has been set at 6.5 runs. Cincinnati is putting Johnny Cueto on the mound to face Noah Syndergaard.
The Mets have gone under in nine of their last 10 games entering tonight. They beat Milwaukee 2-0 on Thursday. Syndergaard has been great at home this year with a 2.13 ERA. Cueto, who has not pitched since June 17 due to elbow stiffness, should be well rested for tonight’s game. Look for him to have his best stuff. With the pitching matchup looking strong, look for the runs to be at a premium.
