ELMONT, NY (The Spread) – What are the odds that American Pharoah will finish ahead of Materiality? Here’s a look at head-to-head odds for the 2015 Belmont Stakes.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, American Pharoah is 1/3 to finish ahead of Materiality, who is 12/5 to finish ahead of American Pharoah. Neither horse has to win the Belmont Stakes in order for you to win, they just have to finish ahead of the horse they’re matched up against.
Frosted is also favored to finish ahead of Materiality at 5/7 odds, while Materiality has been given 11/10 odds to finish ahead of Frosted. In perhaps the most intriguing head-to-head matchup, American Pharoah is 2/5 to finish ahead of Frosted, who is 39/20 to finish ahead of American Pharoah.
