WASHINGTON, D.C. (ATS Consultants) – In a matchup that should fall under the total for bettors, the Wizards will host the Hawks at 5:00PM ET for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Wizards are now 3.5-point home underdogs after opening as 2-point home favorites versus the Hawks. The total, meanwhile, is sitting at 199 after opening at 200.
The Wizards may have lost the series in Game 1 when John Wall fell on his left wrist. He came back to help Washington win, but then his hand swelled up before Game 2 and the Hawks won by 16.
With Wall on the floor, Washington has shot nearly 50% from the floor in the playoffs. Without him, they are shooting around 39%. So the loss of Wall means less ball movement and more isolations. That helps Atlanta but expect Washington to now slow the pace down and focus on getting the ball inside for what should be a low-scoring game.
