According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Western Conference is currently a 3-point favorite over the Eastern Conference for tonight’s game, while the over/under total is set at a whopping 297.5 points.
Don’t let the large total intimidate you from betting the over. Last year’s over/under was set at 291 and the two teams combined to score 318 points in a 163-155 East victory over the West. In 2012, the two teams combined for 301 points with the total sitting at 283.5 points in a 152-149 West victory.
Go back even further to 2011 when the West beat the East 148-143 and you’ll see another over hit at the betting window when the score went over the total of 271.5. With the over also hitting in 2010 and 2009, the only time the under cashed over the past six years was two years ago when the two teams combined for “only” 281 points when the total was sitting at 295.
