BOCA RATON, FL (The Spread) – Marshall has had a fantastic season but will the Thundering Herd struggle to cover the spread tonight when it takes on Northern Illinois at 6:00PM ET in the Boca Raton Bowl?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Thundering Herd are now 8.5-point favorites over the Huskies while the over/under total is currently sitting at 67 points. Marshall was a 10-point favorite as early as Tuesday morning but the line has been bet down over a point at most sports books.
The Thundering Herd are just 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game while the Huskies are 9-1-1 against the number in their last 11 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
Northern Illinois is also a perfect 4-0 ATS in their last four games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall. In a game where the Huskies could win outright, take the points with the dog (no pun intended).
