Hawks a great bet vs. Heat
MIAMI, FL (ATS Consultants) – The Hawks visit the Heat tonight at 7:30PM ET and the recent trends favor Atlanta in this matchup.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed the Heat as 4.5-point home favorites over the Hawks for tonight’s matchup while the total is listed at 200 points. There hasn’t been a ton of line movement leading up to tip off but Miami was once a 4-point favorite while the total opened at 199.5 at most books.
The Hawks enter play tonight with a 10-6 record and are 8-8 against the spread this season while the over has been a profitable 10-6 in Atlanta games this season. Miami, meanwhile, is 9-8 on the year and 8-8-1 against the number while the under is 9-8 in their 17 games in 2014.
As previously mentioned, the Hawks have been a great bet versus the Heat recently. They’re 4-0 against the spread in their last four games versus Miami and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games versus the NBA Southwest. They’re also 5-1 against the number in their last six games following an ATS loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Heat, meanwhile, have struggled at the betting window. They’re 0-4-1 ATS in their last five home games, 1-7 ATS in their last eight Wednesday games and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games playing on one day of rest. They’re also 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games versus NBA Southeast opponents and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five home games versus a team with a losing road record.
