The Aggies opened as 29-point favorites before the line was bet up to 31.5, while the total opened at 71 and that’s where it currently sits.
Rice was beaten soundly in a 48-17 loss to Notre Dame in Week 1. The Owls failed to cover as a 20.5-point road underdog while the combined score went over the posted total of 52.5 points. Driphus Jackson completed 13-of-24 passes for 163 yards with one touchdown and one interception while also rushing 11 times for 61 yards. James Mayden also caught one pass for 53 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
The Aggies suffered zero letdowns last week after beating South Carolina in their season opener. A&M routed I-AA Lamar 73-3 as a 46.5-point favorite, covering easily as the combined score barely fell under the posted total of 76.5. Sensational freshman Kenny Hill completed 17-of-26 passes for 283 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in the win, while three different runners combined to score four TDs.
