LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The MLB schedule for Tuesday returns to a full set of 15 games. Here is a look at the odds for today’s featured contests.
The featured game of the day is a battle for the AL Central with the Detroit Tigers hosting the Kansas City Royals at 7:08PM ET. The Royals have Jason Vargas (11-7) on the mound to face Max Scherzer (15-5) of the Tigers. According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Tigers are favored at home, as they have odds of -160 to win, while the Royals have been given a money line of +150 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8.5 runs. Kansas City is 79-63 on the season and 41-31 on the road while Detroit is 78-65 overall and 36-32 at home. The Tigers have won five of their last six against the Royals, including a 9-5 win on Monday which cut the Royals lead in the division to 1 game.
Another featured game today has the Washington Nationals hosting the Atlanta Braves at 7:05PM ET. The Nationals have Jordan Zimmerman (10-5) on the mound to face Ervin Santana (14-7) of the Braves. Oddsmakers have the Nationals favored at home, as they have odds of -140 to win, while the Braves have a money line of +130 to prevail. The over/under total for the game has been set at 7 runs. Atlanta is 74-70 overall and 34-39 on the road while Washington is 81-61 overall and 45-27 at home. Atlanta has won seven of its last 11 against Washington, but the Nationals picked up a 2-1 win on Monday. These two have hit the under in five of their last six meetings.
Another game of note today has the Milwaukee Brewers hosting the Miami Marlins at 8:10PM ET. The Brewers have Matt Garza (7-8) on the mound to face Tom Koehler (9-9) of the Marlins. Oddsmakers have the Brewers favored at home, as they have odds of -150 to win, while the Marlins have odds of +140 to win. The over/under total for the game has been set at 8 runs. Milwaukee is 74-70 on the season and 37-35 at home while Miami is 70-72 this year and 30-38 on the road. Milwaukee has won six of its last eight against Miami, but the Marlins picked up a 6-4 win on Monday at Milwaukee.
