LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – The National League Central looks to be the most competitive division in all of baseball. Here is a look at the odds to win this division.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the St. Louis Cardinals are favored to win the division with +120 odds while the Milwaukee Brewers have odds of +225, the Cincinnati Reds have odds of +300 and the Pittsburgh Pirates have a money line of +600.
St. Louis is currently 52-44 overall, which is one game behind the Brewers for the division lead. St. Louis is 27-20 at home and 25-24 on the road. The Cardinals have won this division nine times and are the defending champs.
Milwaukee is 53-43 on the season to hold a 1-game lead on the Cardinals. The Brewers are 25-24 at home and 28-19 on the road. Milwaukee has won this division one time, which was back in 2011.
Cincinnati is 51-44 this season, putting it 1.5 games back of the Brewers. The Reds are 27-21 at home and 24-23 on the road. The Reds are three-time winners of the NL Central, last winning in 2012.
Pittsburgh is 49-46 on the season, 3.5 games back of the division lead. The Pirates are 29-20 at home and 20-26 on the road. Pittsburgh has never won the NL Central in its history.
