According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Duke is the favorite to win, as it has 3/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Virginia (4/1), Syracuse (9/2) and North Carolina (7/1).
This is a 15-team tournament that features three opening-round games on Wednesday. The 5-9 seeds are waiting in the second round, while the top 4 seeds have byes into the quarterfinals. The championship is Sunday with all games played at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Duke is the No. 3 seed after going 13-5 in ACC play and 24-7 overall. Duke is a 19-time winner of this tournament, most of any team. The last ACC Tournament title for the Blue Devils came in 2011.
Virginia won the ACC regular season title, going 16-2 in ACC play and 25-6 overall. Virginia has only won this tournament one time, which was back in 1976.
Syracuse is the No. 2 seed. The Orange went 14-4 in conference play and 27-4 overall. Syracuse is making its first appearance in the ACC Tournament.
North Carolina is the No. 4 seed, going 13-5 in conference play and 23-8 overall. UNC is a 17-time winner of this tournament, with the last title coming in 2008.
