(The Spread) – The NFC Championship Game is set for next Sunday. Here is a look at the odds for this contest between two NFC West rivals.
The NFC Championship Game features the Seattle Seahawks hosting the San Francisco 49ers at 6:30PM ET next Sunday. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Seahawks are the favorite at home, as they have odds of -3.5 points against the 49ers. The over/under total for the game has been set at 39.5 points.
These two teams met twice during the season, with the home team winning both games. The home team has actually won nine of the last 10 in this series and the Seahawks have covered the spread in four straight against San Francisco.
The first meeting this season was on Sept. 15 with the Seahawks picking up a 29-3 win at home. In that win, the Seahawks held the 49ers to just 207 yards and forced five turnovers. Seattle rode to the win behind the legs of Marshawn Lynch, who had 98 yards and two touchdowns.
The second meeting came on Dec. 8 in San Francisco and saw the 49ers picked up a 19-17 victory. San Francisco got the win on a Phil Dawson field goal with 26 seconds to play. Neither team has impressive offensive numbers in the game, but Frank Gore did rushed for 110 yards on 17 carries to lead San Francisco.
