UFC 160 will take place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main card bouts airing live on PPV at 10PM ET.
The main event of Saturday’s card is a battle for the UFC Heavyweight Championship with Cain Velasquez (11-1) defending his title against Antonio Silva (18-4). According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Velasquez is the favorite to win this fight, as he has odds of -750 to win, while Silva has been given a money line of +475 to prevail. These two actually met on May 26 of 2012, with Velasquez dominating Silva for a first-round TKO. Velasquez bloodied Silva early and got him on the ground where he hammered him with strikes. Since then, Velasquez regained the heavyweight title with a dominant five-round decision over Junior dos Santos. Silva rebounded from the loss by earning a pair of impressive knockouts over Travis Browne and Alistair Overeem. Silva has big hands and big power, but he lacks the speed and wrestling pedigree of Velasquez.
The co-main event of Saturday’s card is also a heavyweight clash with Junior dos Santos (15-2) taking on Mark Hunt (9-7). According to oddsmakers, dos Santos is the favorite to win this bout, as he has odds of -450 to win, while Mark Hunt has a money line of +325 to prevail. Dos Santos is fighting for the first time since losing the UFC Heavyweight Championship to Cain Velasquez. Mark Hunt is currently riding a four-fight win streak, with three victories coming by TKO. Hunt has a lot of punching power and he could pose a problem for dos Santos, but the former UFC champ has some of the best boxing in all of MMA. Hunt could be in trouble if he decided to try and exchange punches with dos Santos.
