According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Miami Heat are heavily favored, as they have 1/6 odds to win. Other short odds to win are the New York Knicks (8/1) and the Indiana Pacers (13/1).
Miami is the top seed in the Eastern Conference after going 66-16 on the year. The Heat will face Milwaukee in the opening round. Miami is the defending Eastern Conference champion.
New York is the No. 2 seed in the East. The Knicks won the Atlantic Division, going 54-28 this season. New York will face Boston in the postseason. New York last won the conference title in 1999.
Indiana is the No. 3 seed in the East, winning the Central Division with a 49-32 record. The Pacers will face Atlanta in the opening round. Indiana last won the Eastern Conference in 2000.
