La Salle vs. Ole Miss Odds
KANSAS CITY, MO (The Spread) – Two teams that pulled off impressive upsets in the second round will square off with a chance to advance to the Sweet 16 when thirteenth-seeded La Salle takes on twelfth-seeded Ole Miss at 7:40PM ET.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rebels are 4-point favorites over the Explorers, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 142 points. La Salle enters play with a 23-9 overall record while Ole Miss is 27-8 on the year.
The Rebels opened as a 3.5-point favorite but the spread has been bet up to 4 or 4.5 depending on what sports book you view. As for the total, it opened at 143 and has been bet down to 142.
Ole Miss will set a single-season school record for victories if it can beat La Salle tonight. Twelve seeds are an impressive 8-2 against thirteen seeds all-time in the NCAA tournament. La Salle’s 23 victories are the school’s most since going 30-2 during the 1989-90 season.
The Explorers are 13-6-2 against the spread in their last 21 non-conference games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games overall, and 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven neutral site games. They’re also 5-0-1 against the number in their last six games on Sunday.
As for the Rebels, they’re 5-0 against the number in their last five games overall, 4-0 ATS in their last four neutral site games, and 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games following an ATS win. But they’re just 2-6 against the number in their last eight games on Sunday.
