Updated Eastern Conference Odds
(TheSpread) β The NBA Eastern Conference has some strong teams, but there is just one that still stands as the clear favorite to win the conference title. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the East.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, the Miami Heat is the clear favorite entering the second-half of the NBA season, as they have odds of -240 to win. Other short odds to win are the New York Knicks (+800), the Indiana Pacers (+1000) and the Chicago Bulls (+1000).
Miami currently has the top record in the Eastern Conference at 36-14 and the Heat are the defending NBA Champions. LeBron James seems heavily motivated to lead the Heat to another title, as he has taken his game to a new level this season in leading Miami to its current record.
The Knicks have the second-best record in the East at 32-18. New York is leading the Atlantic Division and are seeking to win their first conference title since 1999.
The Pacers are third in the Eastern Conference at 32-21. Indiana is the leader in the Central Division and they took the Heat to six games in the Eastern Conference semifinals last year. Indiana last won the Eastern Conference in 2000.
The Bulls are fifth in the East right now at 30-22. Chicago is 1.5 games back of Indiana in the Central Division. Chicago has been playing all season without guard Derrick Rose, who could comeback late in the year to give the team a big boost. Chicago last won the conference title in 1998.
