College Basketball Championship Odds
(The Spread) – With the action starting this week in the NCAA, North Carolina remains favored to win the 2012 NCAA College Basketball Championship.
North Carolina enters the season as a 7/2 favorite to win this year’s NCAA championship, while Kentucky is 9/2 and Ohio State is 15/2. Duke is 10/1 while UCONN, Louisville and Syracuse are all 12/1, respectively. Florida (20/1), Vanderbilt (20/1) and Memphis (22/1) round out the top 10 in terms of the odds.
The Tar Heels are also listed as the top team in both the AP Top 25 poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Kentucky is No. 2, Ohio State is No. 3, UCONN is No. 4 and Syracuse is No. 5 in both polls. Duke (No. 6), Vanderbilt (No. 7), Florida (No. 8), Louisville (No. 9) and Pittsburgh (No. 10) round out the rest of the top 10 in the AP Top 25 poll.

In last year’s Final Four, UCONN knocked off Kentucky 56-55 while Butler defeated upstart Virginia Commonwealth 70-62 in the National Semifinals. Then, behind the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Kemba Walker, the Huskies defeated the Bulldogs 53-41 in the National Championship Game on April 4.
The 2011-12 NCAA Men’s College Basketball season starts on Monday, November 7 with three matchups. No. 16 Arizona will host Valparaiso at 9:00PM while William & Mary will play at St. John’s at 7:00PM ET. At 8:00PM ET, Mississippi State will host Eastern Kentucky.
