College Football Week 7 Free Picks
(The Spread) – Which two favorites and which two underdogs caught our eye in Week 7 of the college football season?
After splitting for three straight weeks, we finally got back in the win column last Saturday with a 3-1 day. Stanford and Alabama covered large spreads while Wake Forest won outright as a 10-point underdog against Florida State. Our only loss of the weekend came from Connecticut, which was blown out in the second half after hanging with West Virginia early on.

With our 3-1 week, we’re now 15-9 on the season and look for our first 4-0 sweep this Saturday. Our top 4 picks for Week 7 of the college football season are below.
Indiana @ Wisconsin, 12:00PM ET
The last time these two teams met, the Badgers rolled up 83 points on the Hoosiers and that was without quarterback Russell Wilson. Indiana is 1-4 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams and 1-4 ATS in its last five road games. Meanwhile, Wisconsin is 7-0 against the spread in their last seven conference games and 8-0-1 ATS in their last nine games as a favorite. They’re also 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games as a home favorite and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 home games. Laying almost 40 points on a team is a little unsettling but Wisconsin should be well rested coming off its bye week and has the firepower to win this game handily. Lay the wood.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7 FREE PICK: WISCONSIN BADGERS –39.5
Oklahoma State @ Texas, 3:30PM ET
We all saw what happened last week when the Longhorns faced their first real test on defense: Oklahoma blew them out, 55-17. Things don’t get any easier this Saturday against Oklahoma State, which has the nation’s top-ranked scoring offense. Thanks to quarterback Brandon Weeden and receiver Justin Blackmon, the Cowboys are averaging 51 points per game and have now won seven straight road games (including five straight against Big 12 opponents). Texas does hold a 14-2 advantage over OK State in Austin, but the road team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7 FREE PICK: OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOYS –7.5
East Carolina @ Memphis, 7:00PM ET
There’s no question that East Carolina has more talent but with the way the Pirates have struggled this year, this might be a prime opportunity to take the dog receiving two touchdowns at home. The Pirates are 0-4 against the spread in their last four conference games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games following an ATS loss. They’re also 2-9 against the spread in their last 11 games as a road favorite and 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games versus a team with a losing home record. ECU has dominated this series in the past but if it can get just an even performance out of quarterback Taylor Reed, then we like the Tigers to cover at home.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7 FREE PICK: MEMPHIS TIGERS +14
Idaho @ New Mexico State, 8:00PM ET
According to latest college football trends, the Vandals are 5-1 against the spread in their last six trips to New Mexico State and 7-2 ATS in their last nine meetings against the Aggies overall. The road team in this series is also 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings and the Aggies are just 4-17 ATS in their last 21 home games. Look for Idaho to cover the spread for the fifth straight time in its last five road games.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 7 FREE PICK: IDAHO VANDALS +1
