(The Spread) – Can the Tigers and Phillies continue their hot play when the MLB action continues on Friday?
The Tigers own the league’s best winning streak at six games and will look to win their seventh straight when they host the Twins at 7:05PM ET tonight. Detroit is –150 money line favorites while Minnesota is +140 on the ML. Minnesota is 6-1 in Kevin Slowey’s last seven starts against Detroit, who is 11-3 in its last 14 home games versus the Twins.
The Phillies own the next best winning streak at four games and will look to win their fifth straight when Roy Halladay takes the hill against the Brewers at 8:10PM ET. Milwaukee has lost three straight games and is +135 money line underdogs versus the visiting Phillies, who are –145 on the ML. Philadelphia is 5-0 in its last five road games against the Brewers and 8-3 in its last 11 meetings with Milwaukee overall.
The Yankees and Red Sox have each lost two straight games apiece and will look to get back on the right track tonight. Boston heads to Tampa Bay where its –105 on the money line against the Rays, who are also –105 on the ML. The Sox are 4-1 in their last five road games against Tampa Bay, while the under is 4-0 in their last four meetings overall.
The Yankees, meanwhile, are +125 money line underdogs against the Angels, who are –135 on the ML for tonight’s 10:05PM ET contest. According to latest MLB trends, the Angels are 4-0 in Jered Weaver’s last four home starts versus the Yankees, who are 4-1 in their last five meetings with Los Angeles.
