(The Spread) – The red-hot Brewers face a tough test today when they put their six-game winning streak on the line.
Despite their current win streak, the Brewers are +115 home underdogs today at 2:10PM ET against the Dodgers, who will throw ace Clayton Kershaw. L.A. is a –125 money line road favorite and the over/under total has opened at 7 runs. The over is 4-0 in Kershaw’s last four starts against the Brewers, while the Dodgers are 7-3 in their last 10 road games versus Milwaukee.
Staying in the National League, the Phillies are –155 money line favorites against the Diamondbacks, who are +145 on the ML for tonight’s 7:05PM ET start. The over is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings between these two teams in Philadelphia while the Diamondbacks are just 1-7 in their last eight road games against the Phillies.
In the American League, the Rangers (+140) will face a stiff challenge from Angels’ (-150) ace Jered Weaver at 10:05PM ET. The Halos are 8-0 in Weaver’s last eight home starts versus the Rangers and 5-1 in his last six starts overall versus Texas according to latest MLB trends.
In the AL Central, the White Sox are +120 home underdogs versus the Indians, who are –130 on the ML. The Tribe is 3-13 in its last 16 games against the White Sox and 0-5 in their last five road games versus Chicago. They’ll throw Justin Masterson (9-7, 2.69 ERA) against Chicago’s Phillip Humber (8-8, 3.67 ERA).
