(The Spread) – The Seattle Mariners have reigning Cy Young Award winner Felix Hernandez on the mound Saturday as they go for a sweep at the Boston Red Sox, one of 15 games on the MLB schedule.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the visiting Mariners -117 favorites in the contest which is slated to start at 1:35PM EST, while the struggling Red Sox are +107 favorites. The over-under is listed at 8.
Hernandez is currently 3-2 with a 3.32 ERA in six starts this season, while Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz has posted a 1-3 record and a 5.33 ERA in five starts. According to the latest trends, Buccholz is 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA in two career starts against the Mariners. Hernandez has a 4-1 mark and a 2.91 ERA in eight career starts versus Boston.
In other American League action, the Cleveland Indians have the best record in the American League and will attempt to remain undefeated at home Sunday against the Detroit Tigers. The Indians are -140 favorites in the 1:05PM EST start, while the over-under is 9. The New York Yankees host the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05PM EST. The Yankees are -135 favorites and the over-under is 10.
Over in the National League, the Atlanta Braves attempt to salvage a game in their home series with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Braves are -110 favorites with an over-under of 7.5. The Cincinnati Reds are slim -110 favorites in their 4:10PM EST home game against the Florida Marlins. The over-under is set at 8.
At 8:05PM EST on ESPN, the Philadelphia Phillies send Cliff Lee to the mound at home versus the New York Mets. The Phillies are -170 favorites, while the over-under is 7.
