Blazers vs. Mavericks Series Odds
(TheSpread) – The final NBA Playoffs series to get started on Saturday has the Dallas Mavericks taking on the Portland Trail Blazers.
Dallas is the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference with a 57-25 record while the Trail Blazers are the No. 6 seed with a 48-34 record.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com the Mavericks are a slight favorite to win this series as they have odds of -200 to win while the Blazers have odds of +180.
Dallas finished second in the Southwest Division with its 57-25 record. The Mavericks were 29-12 at home this season and 28-13 on the road. The 28 wins on the road were most of any team in the West. Dallas was also 35-17 against conference opponents and won its last four games of the regular season.
Portland was third in the Northwest Division with a 48-34 mark. The Blazers are 30-11 at home and 18-23 on the road. Portland went 30-22 in conference games and won 6 of its last 10 games to end the season.
These two teams have faced off four times this season and split the series. Dallas won the first two games and then Portland won the final two. All four games were decided by single digits but the Blazers had a scoring edge of +3 for the four games.
Trends show that Portland has covered in 6 of the last 8 games with Dallas and the Blazers are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 playoff games as an underdog.
In terms of injuries, Dallas forward Caron Butler will be out until early May because of a knee injury while Portland has no new injuries to report.
