ANAHEIM, CA (TheSpread) – The Connecticut Huskies continued their dominance of March by winning the West Regional Championship on Saturday night to advance to the 2011 Final Four.

The Huskies held on late to defeat Arizona 65-63 as the Wildcats missed a pair of 3-pointers are the end of the game that allowed Connecticut to get the win.

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com Connecticut had 9/2 odds to win the region, meaning a $100 wager on the Huskies will pay out an additional $450.

Connecticut won 5 games in 5 days to win the Big East Tournament Title prior to March Madness beginning and the Huskies have since won four games in the NCAA Tournament.

The run in the tournament started with a 81-52 win over Bucknell and then was followed up by a win over conference foe Cincinnati, 69-58 to reach the Sweet Sixteen.

From there, Connecticut got past San Diego State 74-67 before disposing of Arizona on Saturday. The Huskies were the No. 3 seed entering the region.

The team has been led all month by Kemba Walker, who has scored 107 points in the four tournament games.
