East Regional Odds
(TheSpread) – The East Regional has the most name power of any of the four regions in this year’s March Madness. Here is a look at the odds for the stacked region.

The East features 18 teams as two of the play-in games come out of the East Regional. The top seed is the No. 1 overall seed, Ohio State, but the Buckeyes must contend with some historically successful programs.
The Buckeyes enter the region as the favorite according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com as they have 7/5 odds. Other short odds to win the East are Kentucky (15/4), North Carolina (17/4), and Syracuse (17/4).
The Buckeyes went 31-2 this year, winning the Big Ten regular season and postseason title. The Buckeyes have been to 10 Final Fours in program history, the last of which came in 2007.
Kentucky is the No. 4 seed in this region. The Wildcats went 25-8 on the season and won the SEC Tournament title. Kentucky has reached 13 Final Fours in program history, the last of which came in 1998.
North Carolina won the ACC regular season title and finished the season 26-7. The Tar Heels will be the No. 2 seed in the region. UNC has reached 18 Final Fours in its history with 2009 being its last trip.
Syracuse went 26-7 overall this season and finished tied for third in the lofty Big East, which had 11 selections in the tournament. There are four Big East teams alone in this region. The Orange have only been to the Final Four four times in history. 2003 was their last visit when they won the national title.
