(TheSpread) – The 2011 Patriot League Tournament starts play on Wednesday and will be played out over the next nine days.

In this tournament, the eight teams participating play quarterfinal games at the lower seed’s campus of the two opposing teams. The same is done throughout the tournament, with semifinal games taking place on Sunday and then the championship on Friday, March 11.

Bucknell enters the tournament as the favorite according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com as they have 1/2 odds to win while other short odds are American (3/1) and Lehigh (11/1).

Bucknell dominated conference play this year, going 13-1 to earn the top seed in the tournament. Bucknell is also 22-8 overall. Bucknell has won this tournament two times, the last win coming in 2006.

American is also a two-time winner, as it took the 2008 and 2009 titles. American is the No. 2 seed in the tournament, as it went 11-3 in conference play and is 21-8 overall.

Lehigh is the No. 4 seed with a 6-8 conference record and 15-14 overall record. Lehigh is the defending tournament champion and has won the title two times in program history.
