NASHVILLE, TN (TheSpread) – The 2011 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament begins play on Wednesday and features a staggered bracket format.

The Tournament features two games each of the next three days, leading to a championship game on Saturday. The top two seeds are already in the semifinals and the third and fourth seed have second round byes. The last four seeds play in the two opening games tonight and must win four games to win the tournament. The tournament will take place from Nashville Municipal Auditorium.

Murray State enters the tournament as the favorite according to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com as they have 11/10 odds to win. Other short odds to win are Morehead State (5/4) and Austin Peay (9/2).

Murray State has the top seed in the tournament and already in Friday’s semifinals. Murray State went 14-4 in conference play and was 23-7 overall.

Morehead State and Austin Peay each went 13-5 in conference play, but Morehead State got the No. 2 seed via tiebreaker. Austin Peay will have to win three games to take the tournament title, while Morehead will have to win just two.
