PASADENA, CA (TheSpread) – No. 3 TCU looks to complete an undefeated season on Saturday when it plays in its first ever Rose Bowl as it takes on No. 4 Wisconsin at 5PM ET.

TCU is 12-0 on the season and 7-5 against the point spread odds while Wisconsin is 11-1 on the year and also 7-5 against the spread. Trends show that TCU is 1-4 against the spread in its last 5 non-conference games while Wisconsin is 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a win.

Opening odds had TCU favored by 3 points and the spread dipped back to 2.5 points before returning to its opening mark. The over/under total opened at 56.5 points before climbed up to 58.5 points and then settling back at 57.

TCU cruised through the season for the most part as it won all but two games by at least 17 points. The Horned Frogs had one of the top defenses in the nation this season, allowing just 215.4 yards and 11.4 points per game. On offense, the Horned Frogs totaled 43.4 points and 491.5 yards per game. TCU also averages 261.2 rushing yards per game, led by Ed Wesley, who rushed for 1,065 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

Wisconsin’s lone loss this season was to Michigan State, 34-24. The Badgers shared the Big Ten title with MSU and Ohio State. The Badgers got better as the season went on, as it scored 201 points over their final three games. On the year Wisconsin averaged 43.3 points and 450.2 yards per game while the defense allowed 20.5 points and 323.5 yards per game. The team has been led by the rushing attack of James White, John Clay, and Montee Ball, who have combined for 2,764 yards and 44 touchdowns.

In terms of injuries, both teams come in pretty healthy. TCU quarterback Andy Dalton is listed as probable with an elbow injury but is expected to play and nose tackle Kelly Griffin is questionable with an ankle problem. For Wisconsin, running back John Clay is probable for the game despite a lingering knee injury.

Over 51,100 public bets have been placed on this game with Wisconsin getting 73% of the wagers with point spread odds of +3 against TCU.
