Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Buckeyes 25-point favorites over Minnesota in Week 9. The over/under total for this game is currently 54.5 points.

Let’s get to our free pick.

The Buckeyes are 7-1 straight up this year and 6-2 against the number. They’re 1-1 on the road, however, and both times they failed to cover were away from Columbus (at Illinois and at Wisconsin).

The Golden Gophers, on the other hand, are 1-7 straight up and just 3-5 against the spread. They’re a brutal 0-5 at home this season and have covered just once in five attempts at TCF Bank Stadium.

Our Week 9 Free Pick:

The Gophers are horrendous – there’s just no other way to put it. The Buckeyes are 5-1 against the spread in their last six meetings with the Gophers in Minnesota and they’re 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. The favorite is also 5-2 against the number in the last seven meetings between these two days and while 25 points is a lot to lay, the Buckeyes should roll all over a hapless Minnesota program. Our pick is Ohio State minus the points.
